Erika Lorenz Alba has joined The Fiorentino Group as principal and managing director of the newly formed Multi-State Legislative and Regulatory Practice. Alba most recently served as Chief Legislative Counsel to Jacksonville-based Fidelity National Financial, which is a Fortune 500 company.

“We are very excited to have Erika on board,” said Marty Fiorentino, founder and president of The Fiorentino Group. “Erika’s background allows her to advise our clients from a national perspective. She has extensive credentials in both the legislative and regulatory arenas and has handled both nationwide.”

Prior to joining FNF and relocating to Florida, Alba served as assistant chief counsel to the California Insurance Commissioner and worked in the California State Legislature for over 10 years including as chief of staff to the Assembly Republican Leader.

“Many of TFG’s clients conduct business in numerous states and some even in all 50 states,” said Alba. “In this challenging economic climate, businesses often conclude that it is simply too expensive to maintain an active in-house government affairs department. There is an increasing trend to outsource these functions which allows companies to save money and increase the value and depth of the service they receive.”

Founded in 2000, The Fiorentino Group has offices in Jacksonville and Tallahassee. The firm’s principals have more than 50 years of combined experience in local, state and national governmental affairs with the necessary contacts across the country.

“With the addition of Erika, TFG’s deep experience allows us to advise our clients and formulate strategies on issues from a global perspective,” said Fiorentino. “Our clients find great comfort in knowing that someone is actively monitoring their key issues across the country.”
