Mark J. Pinto Jr. joined The Fiorentino Group in 2010 and serves as a principal to the firm. Mark provides our clients with a wealth of knowledge relating to the state lawmaking and appropriations processes. He has key experience in the areas of media relations, corporate communications, grassroots campaigning, and fundraising, among others. As a result, Mark has developed an extensive and invaluable network of contacts in both the private and public sectors.
As principal, Mark has experience in a variety of sectors including: healthcare, gaming, medical marijuana, education, transportation, local government, economic development, tourism, professional sports leagues, private development, environment, and real estate. Mark meticulously advises and manages projects for local, state, national, and international clients.
In 2012, Mark took a temporary leave of absence from The Fiorentino Group during the presidential election to serve as the Special Assistant to then Republican Party of Florida Chairman Lenny Curry, who is now Mayor of Jacksonville. In this role, Mark traveled across the state to meet top campaign donors, elected officials, and community leaders. He also served on Mayor Lenny Curry’s Finance Committee.
Mark began his political career with Florida Senate President Bill Galvano (R-Bradenton) during his tenure in the Florida House of Representatives. Mark worked on Senator Galvano’s first political campaign and served as his aide in the House. His experience in the state legislature provides him with unique and relative insight on key policy issues affecting our clients and appropriations. Prior to his service in the Florida House of Representatives, Mark worked for former Congressman Dan Miller (R-Fla.). Mark has also been active in local, state, and national politics, and has volunteered and raised funds for numerous political campaigns.
Most recently, Mark was selected as one of the Jacksonville Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 honorees. In 2015, he served as the Jacksonville Regional Chair for The James Madison Institute’s Leaders Fellowship Class. He is a former member of the St. Johns County Chamber Economic Development Council.
Mark graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Political Science from Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia. A native of Bradenton, Florida, he is married to Kelly Woodard Pinto. They reside in Ponte Vedra, Florida with their daughter.
